Various Committees and Cells have been introduced to ensure the smooth running of the college. They are :-

Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC)
Chaired by the Principal, the Cell comprises Head of Various Departments and other members. This Cell is charged with the responsibility of planning for and monitoring academics of the college. It also assists the authority in administration. Monthly meeting is held to review the progress of the various ongoing programmes as well as coordinate among the various Cells and Committees of the College. The two main tasks of the Cell are preparation for Assessment by NAAC and Planning for the forthcoming Fiftieth Anniversary Celebration.

Science College Teachers Association (SCTA)
This is the general body that comprises all the teachers of the college. All Major decisions are discussed and approved during its Meetings. It is also the main implementing body.

Anti-Ragging Committee
This committee has been formed under the directive of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India through the Nagaland University. Ragging has been looked upon as a serious offence by the Kohima Science College and it shall continue to campaign against ragging. This committee shall also look into any other disciplinary problems, including eve-teasing should they arise.

Examination Branch

Construction Committee
This Committee plans and supervises Repair and Renovation of the college building as well as construction of new buildings. Their duty is year-round, including vacations. One of the main achievements of this group is the construction of an eight-room building through the free-will donation from teachers, students and well-wishers and District Planning & Development Board, Kohima.

Career Guidance Cell
In order to provide guidance and consultation regarding career options for students, this Cell conducts workshops. So far, the workshop is conducted in small groups comprising students of 1st Year B.Sc. honors. This activity will be extended to a larger group of students in the near future.

Remedial Coaching Cell
Funded by UGC, this committee plans and organizes a coaching programme for entrance Test of Technical studies. Since this is an open facility, students, numbering over 500, from all over the state enroll in it every year.

Mentoring Cells
With a view to improve inter-personal rapport among teachers and students, Cells, each comprising 15 students have been set up. The teacher in-charge of each cell is entrusted with the task of initiating an informal platform on which to hold group discussions, interactions and other co-curricular activities. Also, the teacher monitors the assigned wards in matters regarding their regularity, performance and over-all well-being.

NAAC Coordinators
