INFRASTRUCTURE
Kohima Science College is one of the largest and best equipped science colleges in the state. This, being the only Science college, offering degree courses in the entire state till late nineties, has received ample funds from the state government to build an establishment that can cater to over a thousand students. Till date, it remains the largest science college in the state - its annual enrolment, including higher secondary sections, being one thousand two hundred. The imminent de-linking of higher secondary in the near future will significantly relieve the present constraints, and at the same time leave sufficient space for upgradation maneuvers.
LAND
The institution is built on a hillock, originally, measuring 200 acres. Presently, three portions, about 50 acres altogether, have been carved out to house a Water Reservoir, Doordharshan Kendra, Kohima and Music Academy. There is still ample space for infrastructural expansion. The picture below shows rough boundary of the college campus.

It strongly reflects India’s commitment to use space technology for national development, especially for the development of the population in remote and rural locations.
The Transmission Hub of EDUSAT, Nagaland is located at Kohima Science College and is connected to 50 Satellite Interactive Terminals (SITs) located in various parts of the state. The Hub is essentially a TV station where lectures are delivered from the recording studio and the programme is telecast to the specified receiving terminals (SITs). This means a teacher can deliver a lecture to any number of students at the same time. EDUSAT at Kohima Science College is funded by the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO).
The Principal, Kohima Science College is the Nodal Officer. The Hub Engineers are Er. Anirbam Chakraborty and Er. Ketou Linyu.
